Planning Applications in Milton Keynes

The Council is currently trialing the publication of some planning applications on-line, as part of its drive for continuous improvement. The test provides on-line access to a limited number of planning applications, their supporting information and representations made by interested parties.

The purpose of the planning system is to regulate the development and use of land in the public interest. This is achieved by requiring proposed development to have planning permission before any work commences. However there are minor alterations and additions you can make without the need for planning permission. After several years of being subjected to study after study the future of Milton Keynes is at last becoming clearer. Following the publication of the Milton Keynes and South Midlands Study towards the end of 2002, the Government has published a more detailed study looking at the spatial development of Milton Keynes up to 2016. This study is now the subject of public consultation visit the Milton Keynes Economy and Learning Partnership
