The Parks Trust's August ActivitiesSummer holidays promise to be a time of safaris, watery fun and wildlife with a host of adventures on offer from The Parks Trust in Milton Keynes. This year our park rangers are pulling out all the stops with a variety of planned outdoor activities to keep the children entertained all summer long. We’ve got a Great British Safari where you can meet local wildlife, a chance to explore the underground world of creepy, crawly creatures, a trip in the dark where you can find out about badgers, bats and moths and a Wet ‘N’ Wild morning where you can have some splashing fun and learn about water loving animals. The Parks Trust’s summer event programme also includes a free weekend film festival featuring classic films, family favourites and block-busters. The Open Air Film Festival takes place on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd August 2010 and is a chance for you to bring your friends, pack a picnic and enjoy some of your favourite films in the beautiful setting of Campbell Park. Organised children’s events of crafts, games and exciting activities cost £3.00 per activity but you can make a substantial saving by buying a pass for the remainder of our school holiday events for only £15. With over 4,500 acres of parks and green space, including river valleys, ancient woodlands, lakesides and parks, cared for by The Parks Trust, Milton Keynes is one of Britain’s greenest cities and a great place to enjoy the outdoors and summer sunshine.
